Responsibilities

The System Engineer will be responsible for on-site customer installations and support of the Hexagon Police Records Management Systems product suites. Under general supervision, this individual will plan and conduct assignments providing solutions to a variety of complex customer problems. Assignments may include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Determining and/or developing system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
  • Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total systems
  • As a project manager, will be responsible for managing scheduling and processes to meet internal or contractual commitments
  • Applies standard principles, theories and concepts to the solutions of problems of moderate or diverse scope
  • Incumbent is expected to have or rapidly obtain, in depth knowledge of Company products and or procedures
  • Will perform other reasonable related duties

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline with 1 year of relative experience
  • Experience with Oracle or SQL Server required
  • Prior work experience with web applications, web server software, XSLT transforms, Crystal reporting and Microsoft Office products  a plus
  • Prior knowledge of Law Enforcement work, and other Records Management systems for police records is desired
  • Individual must be self-motivated, productive, and hard working
  • Must have good oral and written communications skills as well as professional appearance is required
  • Individual must also be willing to travel up to 75% of the time
