Responsibilities

Hexagon is seeking a Compliance Officer to coordinate, supervise and manage its global compliance program across multiple divisions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Work with global employees to ensure the compliance program is properly implemented
  • Identify gaps in the implementation of the compliance program - evaluate associated risks and implement appropriate risk mitigation measures
  • Create, maintain, and update procedures, as needed, to facilitate divisional compliance with program requirements in a manner tailored to the specific technical and organizational characteristics of the divisions
  • Identify, propose and implement new measures to improve the compliance program and adapt to an evolving regulatory landscape
  • Provide and/or coordinate compliance training for new and existing employees
  • Regularly monitor performance of the compliance program and related activities - take appropriate steps to remediate identified areas of non-compliance
  • Review, evaluate and resolve compliance questions, issues and concerns - review global compliance laws and regulations as necessary to provide effective advice to company employees
  • Investigate alleged violations of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures and recommend appropriate resolutions
  • Implement remedial measures as appropriate to address non-compliance and other identified compliance risks
  • International and domestic travel as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior compliance experience preferred, in particular in the areas of export, anti-corruption, and/or personal data protection
  • Bachelor’s degree required - Legal degree preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communicator
  • Ability to create strong/positive working relationships across the global enterprise, and deliver results with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to consider creative solutions to improve compliance program utilizing existing resources
  • Technical proficiency sufficient to form a basic understanding of the technical characteristics of company technology for purposes of export classification
  • Ability to effectively identify and focus on highest priorities
  • Effective problem solving and decision making
  • Focused, detail conscious and solution-oriented
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently on multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability and willingness to communicate with global workforce during multiple time zones
