    Responsibilities

    This position reports to the Project Custom Interfaces Development group. This group develops, customizes and implements interfaces on a project basis. The role is specifically challenging as it combines the tasks of custom software development with the pressures of a Services delivery schedule, according to major project planning. 

     

    The position requires communicating with a project team, functional team, customers, service managers, project managers and 3rd party vendors. The tools and methodologies currently in use include C#, C++, Visual Studio, FoxPro, EdgeFrontier, XML/XSL, WPF, SQL, SOA and WCF. Developers in this position will be responsible for development, unit testing and delivery of custom programs as well as working directly with customers during their testing and implementation. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors or Masters in MIS/CIS, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
    • 3-5 years’ experience in software development
    • Development experience in developing Public Safety applications is a plus
    • Strong Communication skills are required as the candidate will be responsible for requirements gathering, technical design, documentation and providing regular updates to project and service management
    • Experience in QA processes and document writing are also required
