    Responsibilities

    The Revenue Recognition Analyst will provide consultation to sales and legal teams during the proposal and negotiation process, will be responsible for providing the technical assessment and supporting accounting documentation for the executed software and services contracts, and also will assist in updating revenue policies. 

     

    The candidate should be able to work independently, providing both support and compliance assistance for Sales, Legal, Business Managers and Finance.  Responsibilities of this position may include:

     

    • Performing review and analysis of proposals, quotations and contracts for financial risk assessment and compliance both pre and post award
    • Completing price studies and assessments for contracts and financial arrangements
    • Assistance with compliance audits 
    • A strong understanding of the principles defined in IFRS revenue standards, in particular IFRS 15, is necessary as all assessments and compliance reviews are completed in accordance with these standards
    • An emphasis on technical accounting knowledge and application is required
    • Demonstrate the ability to understand contractual conditions and the impact on revenue recognition, and an understanding of IFRS guidance and interpretation on the impact to business processes and procedures.
    • Strong communication and analytical skills are a necessity

    The candidate may also assist in preparing pricing analysis for new products and proposals and be responsible for interpretation, documentation and training related to financial policies.

    Qualifications

    • B.S. – Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a finance related position
    • CPA preferred 
    • Relevant experience in a technology or software and services industry
    • The candidate should possess strong analytical and communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Prior experience in revenue/contract analysis or pricing is recommended
