    Responsibilities

    • Issues Requests for Proposals and solicits Supplier Quotes
    • Evaluates Supplier Proposals and Quotations
    • Creates and issues Purchase Orders
    • Negotiates, issues and manages supplier procurement contracts
    • Documents procurement packages in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
    • Pre/Post Award Contract Administration to include interactions with various internal departments (Contracts, Project Managers, Sales, Finance, Corporate IT, Software Development & Fulfillment, Shipping & Receiving)
    • Ensures compliance with company policies, legal requirements and departmental procedures in the performance of daily job requirements
    • Promotes a positive and mutually beneficial relationship with suppliers
    • Actively works to support the development of new supplier capabilities. Initiates and supports supplier qualification when new sources are required
    • Drives cost savings and quality improvement projects in an effort to reduce procurement costs
    • Possesses solid background and understanding of pertinent procurement regulations and practices
    • Supports other team members with required activities, as applicable

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline (preferably Contracts/Acquisition Management) with 0-2 years of directly related experience
    • Experience negotiating and managing suppliers for compliance, cost, schedule and quality
    • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
    • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and adapt to rapidly changing requirements
    • Ability to multi-task and complete assigned tasks within the timeframes specified
    • Ability to meet multiple and varied deadlines
    • Excellent organizational skills are required
    • Highly motivated and detail-oriented
    • Strong understanding of procurement practices
    • Excellent people skills to include collaboration in a multi-disciplinary, diverse and dynamic team environment
    • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success
    • Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
    • Knowledge of accounting practices a plus
    • Working knowledge desired in one or more of the following: Deltek Costpoint, Financial Force Procurement, Microsoft Dynamics GP
