Hexagon is seeking talented, experienced developers to join its multi-faceted team developing and supporting our large and technically-sophisticated Geospatial and Transportation solution suites.
The Database Software Analyst position involves researching, designing, developing and modifying database components of one or more enterprise solutions. Candidates will be involved in the design, planning, implementation and deployment phases of software projects. Candidates will interact directly with key stakeholders such as project managers, technical leads, web developers, database administrators, and testers at Hexagon and at various customer sites. The candidates will be responsible for translating client’s business requirements into system database designs and be responsible for implementation of those designs.
Candidates must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of database development (database packages, views and triggers) and DBA skill sets including Oracle data modeling, PL/SQL, Extract Translate and Load (ETL). Candidates must be able to optimize SQL statements as necessary and establish best practices for other team members. Experience with Oracle Locator/Spatial is highly desirable.
Additional knowledge of other spatial databases such as PostGIS and Microsoft SQL Server and knowledge of web-based development languages such as .NET, WebAPI, and experience in the transportation (DOT) business is a plus.
