    Responsibilities

    As a Business Intelligence Administrator, you will perform BI administration activities such as administering user access and security, performance monitoring and tuning, schedule and document BI operations and tasks. You are responsible for creating and maintaining data structures used to support the development of dashboards and visualizations which provide valuable information to business leaders. You collaborate with key stakeholders to document business processes and develop data requirements used in the creation of the data structures. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Design and Builds ETL processes to pull various data types from various data sources; structured or unstructured, on-prem or Cloud sources
    • Work with business analysts, product owners, and scrum masters to ensure high quality, high performing solutions to meet the business needs
    • Design, develop, test and deploy analytic applications by writing new code and improving existing code ensuring applications work properly
    • Troubleshoot and debug system inefficiencies
    • Maintain database accuracy and stability
    • Develop and update technical documentation and quality assurance (QA) processes
    • Becomes highly knowledgeable in our business process and ability to self-educate when new functionality arises
    • Continuously improve technical skills through training, seminars, webinars and self-directed research / investigation
    • Coordinate and assist in third party application installations and upgrades

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
    • Master's degree strongly preferred
    • 2+ years in a business intelligence/database administration role
    • In-depth understanding of database management systems and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
    • Deep Knowledge of SQL queries, query optimization, and best practices
    • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to design and develop in an Agile delivery environment. This includes understanding minimum viable product from both the business and IT standpoint to ensure delivered solutions support future features without rework
    • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills amongst key stakeholders. Skilled in preparing and delivering documentation such as data flow, logical, and physical diagrams consumption by IT stakeholders
    • Proven experience with multiple BI and Reporting Development Tools. Information Builders preferred. Will consider experience with other similar tools
    • Javascript, HTML, CSS experience a plus
